  • Tropical Trends – A South Beach Party Room in Your Garden

With the launch of our new Arca range we wanted to give you some insight from our interior designer Gemma Hill of Bayswater Interiors, who has styled the South Beach Arca in the current interior design trend for tropical.

This look was inspired by Miami beach life and has been created using boldly coloured statement pieces and cushions, with softer, natural shades and sandy textures as a backdrop on the walls and floor.

tropical-wallpaper-garden-roomArt Deco influences show in selected furniture items, and the botanical wallpaper from Cole & Son blurs the boundary between the interior and the surrounding garden.

Says Gemma, ‘The intention was to create a garden room for entertaining, relaxing, and partying. A summer barbeque or cocktail party will really get a lift from the bright atmosphere in this pod.

When the party’s over you can kick back and enjoy the tropical atmosphere on the bespoke sofa.”

The CGI shows an Art Deco inspired shelving unit – this could vary depending on availability but Art Deco is definitely going to be incorporated – essential for South Beach style.”

The Arca is supplied with the styled interior, but there is plenty of scope to add your own finishing touches once you have settled in.

She adds “You could go for some really big indoor plants, which taps into the ‘outdoors in’ trend that’s taking off in 2016. That will really help to merge your garden into the space too, increasing the sense of fluidity and freedom and tapping in to botanical themes which are really popular right now.”
