Wedding Guest Accommodation – A large 8m x 4m Shepherd Hut, Honeymoon Suite plus various Pods & Lodges sleeping 2 to 4 people for wedding guests.

This spectacular wedding venue in a remote part of Gloucestershire was looking for a range of bespoke accommodation both in terms of size and design. They also wanted a stylish, standout suite for the ‘honeymooners’ to enjoy a luxurious first night of married life. We designed, factory built and delivered 4 differing buildings, a total of 10 rooms, all standalone, with full ensuite and catering facilities. The star attraction is a 32 square metre Shepherd Hut, Honeymoon Suite with king-size bedroom incorporating a free standing, roll top bath. The suite also includes a separate shower room with integrated ‘his’ and ‘hers’ basins, a dressing area, built-in wardrobe and tea/coffee making station. Working very closely with our client throughout the project has allowed us to deliver a unique product that has significantly enhanced the wedding package offering at the venue.

Granny Annexe – 9m x 4.5m

Arnold, Nottingham

‘Granny’ Annexe – 9m x 4.5m

Cost: £89,000 including VAT. This price included all the preparatory groundworks to bring services to site and management of the planning process.

This client was keen for her Mum to live very close to her, but still independently. Hence, we designed and constructed this beautiful, high quality 1 bedroom annexe with large open plan fitted kitchen and lounge dining area with a sensitively designed shower room for the slightly older customer. A building of this size and scope, naturally required full planning permission, but to take some of the stress off the customer we managed the whole process for her. The client had certain much loved pieces of her own furniture, fixtures and fittings which we integrated into the design and layout. The kitchen was upgraded to include a full set of integrated ‘white’ goods and laid out in a simple, streamlined way to optimise use of space. Our client’s Mum has now moved into her new accommodation and is loving the proximity to her family, but still having her own private space.

Thicket Lodge

Preston, Lancashire.

Bridal Suite – 10m x 8m

Price £110,000 ex VAT. Price included the extensive groundworks required ahead of construction.

“This hotel in the NW of England hosts up to 200 weddings each year and was looking for a luxurious lodge in their woodland grounds to host bride and bridesmaids on the eve of the wedding. Accommodating up to 6 people, the lodge consists of king size bedroom, lounge/dining area and bathroom with spa tub and walk-in shower room. The lounge/dining area is also a bedroom for the evening with super comfortable sofas and armchairs that convert into beds. The interior of the lodge, with it’s beautiful wall coverings and moody lighting was designed by our sister company Bayswater Interiors. They also sourced all the fixtures and fittings to ensure complimentary design and colours throughout. The large bi fold doors in all 3 rooms lead onto a large, external open decked area for outdoor drinks & dining during the warmer months. The lodge also has wide screen TV, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee, room service facility and drinks fridge.

‘Thicket Lodge’ is now fully operational and taking bookings on a daily basis”.

“I fell in love with the Garden Hideouts Pod at first sight when visiting Hampton Court Flower Show. Now I’m the proud owner of one in my small garden, things are even better than I dreamed they would be. For me and my sons, the Pod is a multipurpose life changer. They use it as a games room while for me it’s a design come photography studio as well as a place to enjoy drinks and film nights with friends. It’s just so relaxing and private when you want it to be. I suppose that’s down to the brilliant insulation and the cosy shape inside. It’s been a great addition to the home, and was all so easy from start to finish with the help of the Garden Hideouts team.”

“Before Mum came to live with me we’d already decided we both wanted a separate building to keep our independence. And as soon as we saw The Arca  that was it…we were both wowed – just so much more character than anything else we’d seen! In fact, it was hard to believe it was in our budget. But a visit to Hanbury and chat with Garden Hideouts confirmed this was the way ahead. They took care of everything and the guys who built ‘Little Ebor’ (Mum’s name for her new home) were sensational and worked up to 12 hours a day. Not even torrential rain spoilt their parade. Mum and her dogs are over the moon with ‘Little Ebor’. It has great views, fabulous light and is cosy without being cramped.”

“Because I rent my properties through the Airbnb app, you need to be sure your accommodation is up to scratch because people have so much choice. By choosing a Garden Hideouts Shepherds Hut for a corner in our old orchard we’ve gained an edge. It has that brilliant combination of a nostalgic, traditional exterior but with a contemporary and luxurious living environment. The interior design and furnishings were all professionally done by the company which saved us time, effort and money. No planning permission needed either. It’s an absolute winner with guests, especially the Smeg combi oven with grill and the private decking area. All we had to add were a few personal touches like BBQ, outdoor table and chairs.”
